The Black Sheep Society is an independent and interdisciplinary group of scholars in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies working within the broad tradition of leftist analysis and critique.

The BSS hosts a series of panels at ASEEES every year. If you would like to apply to have your panel affiliated with the BSS, or you would like help putting together a panel, look for the relevant BSS announcements on our listserv. Note that our deadline is prior to the ASEEES deadline. We are also open to sponsoring panels at other conferences. Please reach out to the steering committee to inquire.
